Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Levine attended Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1982 from the College of Human Medicine, School of Medical Technology. He attended Ross University School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree in 1986. Dr. Levine did his internship and residency at E.W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan where he was named Chief Resident. He completed his residency training in 1990. Dr. Levine has had a highly diverse career which includes having been appointed Chief if the Department of Family Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center, Huron Valley Sinai Hospital. Dr. Levine has extensive experience in administrative medicine, quality assurance and has been acting medical director for a number of organizations, the last of which was the Genesee Community Health Center as well as a number of insurance companies. He held the position of Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for 4 years, Planned Parenthood and currently is a Medical Director with Health Alliance Plan. He remains involved in administrative medicine to present day. He has been married for 36 years to his wife Michele who is a teacher and has 2 grown children. Dr. Levine has particular interests in procedural medicine and enjoys teaching medical students and residents as part of his commitment to the advancement of medical care.
